July 25th 1968 A day forever engraved on my memory. By Stuart Cave
Back in 1968, I was 18 years old. I had just found Jesus, and given my life to Him a week previously.
I’ve been a musician for most of my life, and was on my way to play at a folk concert with the two other guys and the girl who made up the band, plus my then girlfriend. The boot (trunk) was full of instruments. I’d borrowed my Dad’s car (with his permission!).
It was a clear July evening, about 7.00. There was little traffic, and we were travelling at around 50mph. I have no memory of what happened next, but going round a gentle curve, I lost control of the car, ran it up a grassy bank at the roadside, and rolled it. No-one has ever explained how it happened. When the car came to rest, it was upside down in the road, with the door pillars bent to one side and the roof at just above steering wheel height. The driver’s seat had been thrown forward. If I had been in the car at this time, I would undoubtedly have been killed; but I wasn’t. The two of us in the front had been flung out through the windscreen. (Seat belts were not worn much then) I broke my nose, damaged my right thumb and had a mild concussion. My girlfriend had a fractured skull. Our girl singer broke her hip, while the two other guys were much less severely injured. In fact, one climbed out, went round to the front and turned off the ignition. Sparks and petrol don’t mix.
We were taken to a local hospital, where I was unconscious for a couple of days.
During that time, I awoke, sat up in bed and saw my parents at my bedside.
“How are my friends?” I asked. “Don’t worry, dear, they’re all right.” came the reply. “What about the instruments?” same reply. “PRAISE THE LORD” I raised my arms, spoke those words in a deep booming voice totally unlike my own, and fell asleep. When I finally woke up, I had no memory of doing that.
I believe that that was not me, but the voice of the Holy Spirit. The surgeon even said I was a good healer.
We all survived, even the instruments. Unfortunately, the car did not. Dad had just had it repainted blue, but he was very forgiving.
One more thing; I have worn glasses since I was four. I wear glasses for driving. When I hit the road (face down), my glasses were not on my face. They were found, intact, in the car.
Thank You, Lord and praise Your Name is all I can say. I’ve been with Him ever since.

Keep Your faith in God in Jesus our lord. Faith will move mountains. Faith is what shapes us Humans. God Put us through trials and tribulations to shape Us in the burning Flame. I will keep you in my prays and if you walk the righteous way’s of God you will see how almighty his Power is and How he moves in your life.
